Here’s all the details you need before a stay at The Cottage @ Northfarthing Farms.

Where are you located?

Can I bring my dog to the cottage?

We’re sorry, unfortunately, the cottage and farm is completely pet-free. Being a working farm with various farm animals we want to avoid potential conflict.

Wood-Fired Hot Tub and Sauna

We’d like to invite you to an outdoor wellness experience unlike any other. Imagine soaking in the hot tub while watching the stars and enjoying the view. We invite you to the ritual of a slower pace while you start and tend the fire for your soak. It takes more time and attention but the joy of the experience is unmatched.

The wood-fired hot tub is cleaned and re-filled between every guest. That means there’s no chemicals needed. We’ll provide the kindling, wood, and instructions to start the fire and enjoy the full experience. It will take 2-4 hours to warm the hot tub (depending on weather and skill) and about 1 hour for the sauna to warm up (depending on weather and skill). We provide towels and a few slippers for your trips to and from the cottage. This is an adults only experience. We’re available if you have any questions or issues.

For an additional charge we can start the hot tub or sauna prior to your arrival so it’s closer to being ready when you arrive.

Do I have privacy at the cottage even though it’s a working farm?

Yes, you’ll have full privacy to the area around the cottage during your stay. We live on-site, about 40 yards away and operate a working farm so there will be noise at different times but work really hard to be respectful of our guests desire for peace. We provide our guests with a digital guest manual with all the details of the areas for your own privacy and the off-limit areas on the farm.

Can I walk the wooded trails?

Yes, we provide a small map showing the trails throughout our wooded area and back meadow. Guests are welcome to respectfully enjoy the trails using the trails. There are some areas throughout that will be clearly marked that shouldn’t be disturbed as we encourage a health eco-system. There are other areas that are active with farm animals that we ask you do not access except without prior permission.

Will we have privacy at the cottage during a u-pick flower event?

Yes, even though our u-pick flower field is across the driveway to our cottage area we use signage and physical barriers to ensure you’re not bothered during your stay. The fire pit, sauna, hot tub, and hangout area are all on the other side of the cottage from the flower field. You may need to move a gate or cones when coming or going on the driveway as this is one of the ways we protect your privacy.

Can I access the garden areas?

We provide a small wildflower garden area behind the cottage that our guests can enjoy and cut from in moderation. We also provide a small herb and vegetable raised garden that guests can enjoy using (in season).

We ask that you do not enter our u-pick flower field area and produce garden without prior permission. Just message us to ask.

What should I bring for my stay?

Well, we are on a farm in the country. That comes with some beauty but potentially a variety of outdoor bugs. To enjoy your experience more, we recommend that you bring the following items. Feel free to message us any questions and we can help suggest a few things depending on what you have planned.
